T-8.1 - Act respecting the lands in the domain of the State

21. The Minister, in cooperation with the government departments concerned, shall prepare, for any part of the domain of the State that he determines, a land use plan for the land area in that domain.
The land use plan shall define the Government’s policy directions with regard to uses and preservation of land in the domain of the State and of the resources found there. In order to enable prioritization and reconciliation of uses and preservation of the land area in the domain of the State, the plan shall establish the application zones and the intentions and purposes for each of them. The plan may also establish specific objectives for certain zones.
The land use plan shall integrate the land uses for the land area in the domain of the State established under other Acts.

The land use plan shall define and indicate sites and territorial units and determine their destination in accordance with the aims and orientations, in the areas of resource conservation and development and land use, that the Government and the departments concerned are pursuing or following or intend to pursue or follow in respect of those lands.
The land use plan may be amended by the Minister in the same manner as it is prepared.
