12. Every person who contravenes a provision of this Act is guilty of an offence and liable to a fine of $25 to $300 and, in the case of a second or subsequent conviction, to a fine of $300 to $1 000.

12. Whoever contravenes this act is guilty of an offence and liable, in addition to payment of the costs, to a fine of $25 to $300 in the case of a first offence and, for any subsequent offence within two years, to a fine of $300 to $1 000.
