537. In case of erection, division, annexation, amalgamation or change of boundaries of school boards before 1 July 1986 in accordance with section 36 or with section 449 of the Education Act (chapter I-14), the council of commissioners, notwithstanding section 46 of the said Act, shall consist of the commissioners of the interested existing school boards.
Where a school board is carved up, the commissioner representing an electoral ward whose territory is transferred to another school board becomes a commissioner of the other school board.
If part of an electoral ward is transferred to another school board, the commissioner becomes a commissioner of the school board to which the greater part of the electors are transferred.
