5. A municipality having the status of Cree village is hereby constituted under the name of “Village cri de Wemindji”. The municipality may also be designated under the Cree name of “Wemindji Eeyoo Atawin” and under the English name of “Cree Village of Wemindji”.
The municipality is a legal person established in the public interest formed by the members of the community of Paint Hills.
The Category IB lands intended for that community form the territory of the municipality.

5. The Category IB lands intented for the community of Paint Hills shall form a municipality under the name of “Municipalité du village cri de Nouveau-Comptoir”. The municipality may also be designated under the Cree name of “Wemindji Aeyooch Aethach” and under the English name of “Municipality of the Cree Village of Paint Hills”.
The members of the community of Paint Hills shall constitute a municipal corporation under the name of “Corporation du village cri de Nouveau-Comptoir”.The municipal corporation may also be designated under the Cree name of “Wemindji Aetown Aeyooch Tapayatachesoo” and under the English name of “Corporation of the Cree Village of Paint Hills”.
