2549. Where insurance is effected for an insured by a representative of the insured, the representative is subject to the same obligations as the insured with respect to representations and disclosures.
However, no omission is attributable to the representative with respect to circumstances which came to the knowledge of the insured too late to be communicated to him.

2549. Where insurance is effected for an insured by a person acting on behalf of the insured, that person is subject to the same obligations as the insured with respect to representations and disclosures.
The person acting on behalf of the insured may not be held responsible for the non-disclosure of circumstances which come to the knowledge of the insured too late to be communicated to him.
