814. Subject to Chapter V of this Title, a joint application is made by filing in the office of the court a declaration or a motion signed by the parties and, if such is the case, by their attorneys, wherein the object and ground of their application, as well as their common and respective conclusions, are stated.

814. Each consort may seize before judgment the moveable property belonging to him which is in the hands of his spouse; he may do likewise with regard to the property of his spouse in which he would be entitled to a share in the case of dissolution of the matrimonial regime.
The moveable property seized remains in the custody of the spouse unless the judge orders otherwise.
