67. Operations to be carried out in accordance with section 177 of the Act are geological studies, geophysical studies or drilling, and assessments of the economic potential of the deposit carried out under the second paragraph of section 176 of the Act.
The minimum fee for the operations shall be as follows:
(1)  for the first year of validity of the licence, $50 per km2 or $3,000, whichever is greater;
(2)  for the second year of validity of the licence, $100 per km2 or $6,000, whichever is greater;
(3)  for the third year of validity of the licence, $150 per km2 or $9,000, whichever is greater;
(4)  for the fourth year of validity of the licence, $200 per km2 or $12,000, whichever is greater;
(5)  for the fifth year of validity of the licence, $250 per km2 or $15,000, whichever is greater;
(6)  for each period of licence renewal, $250 per km2 or $20,000, whichever is greater.

(2)  for the second year of validity of the licence, $1 per hectare or $6,000, whichever is greater;
(3)  for the third year of validity of the licence, $1.50 per hectare or $9,000, whichever is greater;
(4)  for the fourth year of validity of the licence, $2 per hectare or $12,000, whichever is greater;
(5)  for the fifth year of validity of the licence, $2.50 per hectare or $15,000, whichever is greater;
(6)  for each period of licence renewal, $2.50 per hectare or $20,000, whichever is greater.
