34. The probationary period supervisor is to provide the final evaluation report to the employer who, after examining the report, concludes whether or not the probationary period objective has been attained. The employer then provides the report to the teacher trainee along with a certificate of achievement or a notice of failure, as applicable. The employer must send a copy of the report and, as applicable, the certificate of achievement or the notice of failure to the Minister.
A final evaluation report containing a notice of failure must specify the shortcomings observed and the reasons in support of the findings. It must also contain the appropriate recommendations to enable the teacher trainee to correct the shortcomings.
