11. Where the total length of the platforms of the scale used is too short to support all the axles of a combination of road vehicles in conformity with subparagraph 1 of section 10, the operator shall:(1) have the combination of road vehicles move forward so that all the axles of the tractor and first semi-trailer are supported by the platforms of the scale and so that only the axles of a same category of axle are supported by the same platform;
(2) have the combination of road vehicles come to a complete stop;
(3) take the reading of the mass on the dials of the platforms of the scale or on the display;
(4) have the combination of road vehicles move forward so that all the other axles of the combination of road vehicles are supported by the platforms of the scale and so that only the axles of the same category of axle are supported by the same platform;
(5) have the combination of road vehicles come to a complete stop;
(6) take the reading of the mass on the dials of the platforms of the scale or on the display.
The axle load shall be determined by the reading taken in conformity with subparagraph 3 or 6 on the dial of the platform used to weigh that category of axle or by the sum of the readings taken on the dials of the platforms used to weigh that category of axle.
