The amount is increased by $313 for the third dependent child and for each additional child. In the case of an adult with a spouse who is a recipient under the Basic Income Program, the amounts to be considered are those applicable to the situation of only 1 adult.
Liquid assets owned by the family of an ineligible student’s spouse may not exceed $887, which is increased by $343 for the first dependent child and by $313 for each additional child. The amounts are also increased by $229 for any dependent child receiving a supplement for handicapped children under the Taxation Act (chapter I-3). In the case of a woman who is a minor sheltered with her dependent child, the liquid assets owned on the date of application may not exceed $887.
