Act respecting the official flag
Chapter D-13 is replaced by the Act respecting the flag and emblems of Québec (chapter D-12.1). (1999, c. 51, s. 10).

WHEREAS by order-in-council of the 21st of January, 1948, the Government gave the Province an official flag;
Whereas that flag is appropriate to the historical origins, traditions and rights of the people of Québec;
Therefore, Her Majesty, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and of the National Assembly of Québec, enacts as follows:

1. The flag generally designated by the name of the fleurdelisé flag, namely a flag bearing a white cross on a sky-blue ground and with the fleur-de-lis, but modified so that the fleur-de-lis are in a vertical position, is, and has been since the 21st of January 1948, the official flag of the Province of Québec.

2. The flag shall, as such, be flown on the central tower of the Québec parliament buildings and on the occasion of official provincial manifestations.

REPEAL SCHEDULE

In accordance with section 17 of the Act respecting the consolidation of the statutes (chapter R-3), chapter 2 of the Revised Statutes, 1964, in force on 31 December 1977, is repealed effective from the coming into force of chapter D-13 of the Revised Statutes.
