518. When a young person is placed in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Statutes of Canada, 2002, chapter 1), the contribution for a user who is a minor established according to section 513 shall apply, and any person of whom it may be required is bound to pay it if not exempt therefrom under section 514 or 517.

518. When a young person is placed in accordance with the Act respecting young offenders (Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, chapter Y-1), the contribution for a user who is a minor established according to section 513 shall apply, and any person of whom it may be required is bound to pay it if not exempt therefrom under section 514 or 517.
