Full text
2. For every fiscal year, each rate used to fix the subsidy contemplated in section 1, as applicable in the preceding fiscal year, shall be increased at the rate of increase of the Consumer Price Index in the Montréal area as determined under the second paragraph. The amount resulting from such computation shall be rounded off to the nearest $0.05.
The rate of increase of the index mentioned in the first paragraph shall be the ratio between the arithmetical mean of that index published by Statistics Canada under the Statistics Act (Statutes of Canada, 1970-71-72, chapter 15) for each month of the calendar year ending on 31 December immediately preceding the fiscal year concerned, and the arithmetical mean of that index so published for each month of the previous calendar year.
For each fiscal year, the Gouvernement, by an order published in the Gazette officielle du Québec, shall establish the applicable rates determined under this section.
