17. The objects of the company are
(1)  to provide for the establishment, at the place determined by the Government, of the Maison des sciences et des techniques, for the promotion of scientific and technical knowledge and awareness of the various sciences and technologies and their economic, social, cultural and environmental impacts;
(2)  to administer and operate the centre.
