403. (1)  Every elector who, with a corrupt motive, accepts or takes any such meat, drink, refreshments or provisions shall also be guilty of the offence called treating and liable to a fine of ten dollars to fifty dollars and, on failure to pay such fine, to imprisonment for three months.
(2)  Every person who, directly or indirectly, with the same intent, gives, delivers, procures or distributes such meat, drink, refreshments or provisions, between the beginning of the day on which the proclamation prescribed by section 145 is posted up and the end of the day of the polling, shall be guilty of the same offence and liable to the same penalty.
(3)  Every person who, directly or indirectly, with the same intent, gives, supplies, procures, delivers or distributes money or anything of value, to acquire or pay for meat, drink, refreshments or provisions which he knows to be intended to influence an elector with reference to the election, shall also be guilty of the same offence and liable to the same penalty.
