488. Every person who is guilty of an offence described in any one of paragraphs 4, 5, 7 or 9 of section 481, or in any one of sections 482 to 484 is liable to a fine of not less than $500 nor more than $5,000 in the case of a natural person or, in the case of a legal person, to a fine of not less than $1,500 nor more than $15,000 and, for any subsequent conviction, to a fine of not less than $1,000 nor more than $10,000 in the case of a natural person or, in the case of a legal person, to a fine of not less than $3,000 nor more than $30,000.

Every person who is guilty of an offence described in any one of paragraphs 4, 5, 7 or 9 of section 481, or in any one of sections 482 to 484 is liable, in addition to costs, to a fine of not less than $500 nor more than $5 000 in the case of a natural person or, in the case of a legal person, to a fine of not less than $1 500 nor more than $15 000 and, for any subsequent offence within two years of a conviction for the same offence, to a fine of not less than $1 000 nor more than $10 000 in the case of a natural person or, in the case of a legal person, to a fine of not less than $3 000 nor more than $30 000.
