54. For the purpose of identifying predominantly female job classes and predominantly male job classes, positions held by employees which have the following common characteristics shall be grouped together:(1) similar duties or responsibilities;
(2) similar required qualifications;
(3) the same remuneration, that is, the same rate or scale of compensation.
The remuneration in a job class is the highest rate of compensation or the maximum in the compensation scale applicable to the positions within the class.
A job class may consist of only one position.
