C-37.1 - Act respecting the Communauté urbaine de l’Outaouais

84. The Community has such competence as is provided in this Act in the following fields:
(1)  the billing and sending of tax accounts;
(2)  water purification and drinking water supply;
(3)  waste disposal, recovery and recycling;
(4)  the establishment of regional parks.

84. The Community has such competence as is provided in this Act in the following matters:

(2)  water purification and drinking water supply;

(4)  public transportation.

84. The Community shall have in its territory such competence as is provided by this act in the following matters:
(a)  the valuation of immoveable property in its territory, the revision of such valuation and the census;
(b)  the preparation of a development plan for the territory;
(c)  the establishment of a centralized department for data-processing, and for the billing and sending of tax accounts;
(d)  the uniformity of traffic regulation, the synchronization of mechanical traffic control systems on the main communication thoroughfares and intermunicipal streets;
(e)  the preparation of minimum standards for construction;
(f)  the establishment of intermunicipal drinking water systems and sewers;
(g)  garbage disposal.
Section 416 of the Cities and Towns Act (chapter C-19) shall apply mutatismutandis to paragraph d.
