454. On receipt of the return of election expenses of the official agent of the candidate to whom an advance on the reimbursement of election expense was paid, the chief electoral officer shall verify whether the amount of the advance exceeds 50% of the election expenses stated in the return.
If the advance exceeds 50% of the total of the expenses, the chief electoral officer shall send, by registered or certified mail, to the official representative to whom the advance was granted, a claim corresponding to the difference between the amounts.
The claim must be paid within 30 days of its receipt by the official representative.
