302.1. Where it is brought to the knowledge of the Financial Markets Administrative Tribunal that anyone has, by an act or omission, contravened or aided in the contravention of a provision of this Act or a regulation made under it, the Tribunal may, once the facts have been established, impose on that person an administrative penalty to be collected by the Authority.

The amount of the penalty may in no case exceed $2,000,000 for each contravention.

If a contravention continues for more than one day, it constitutes a separate contravention for each day it continues.
