144. Any person who fails to comply with any obligation or prohibition imposed by this Code, by a regulation of the Government or by a regulation or decision of the Tribunal under this Code, is guilty of an offence and liable to a fine
1°  of $500 to $2,500, in the case of an employee;
2°  of $1,000 to $5,000, in the case of a senior officer or employee of an association of employees or of an administrator, agent or adviser of an association of employees or of an employer;
3°  of $1,500 to $7,500, in the case of an employer, an association of employees or a union, federation or confederation to which an association of employees is affiliated or belongs.

Any person who fails to comply with any obligation or prohibition imposed by this code, by a regulation of the Government or by a regulation or decision of certification agent, labour commissioner, the Court or one of its judges, is guilty of an offence and liable, unless another penalty is applicable, to a fine of $100 to $500 and of $1 000 to $5 000 for any subsequent offence within two years.

144. Any person who fails to comply with any obligation or prohibition imposed by this code, by a regulation of the Gouvernement or by a regulation or decision of an investigator, investigation commissioner, the Court or one of its judges, is guilty of an offence and liable, unless another penalty is applicable, to a fine of twenty-five to one hundred dollars and of one hundred to one thousand dollars for any subsequent offence within two years.
