196. Subject to sections 196.1 and 196.1.1, any offence under section 194 is punishable with a fine of $1,383 to $6,913 where the offender is an individual and $4,145 to $20,736 in the case of a legal person.
On a second conviction, the offender is liable to a fine of $2,765 to $8,294, in the case of an individual, and $8,294 to $41,467 in the case of a legal person.
On any additional subsequent conviction, the offender is punishable with a fine of $8,294 to $24,880 where he is an individual or $24,880 to $124,404 in the case of a legal person.
