Regulation respecting the Réserve écologique Irénée-Marie

Natural Heritage Conservation Act

(chapter C-61.01, s. 43).

1. Establishment of the ecological reserve: The territory described in section 2 is established as an ecological reserve under the name of Réserve écologique Irénée-Marie, reference 85-04-13.

2. Description:

Block 1

A piece of land identified in the land survey as being Block 1 of the Township of Arcand, shown on the plan attached hereto, covering fifty-three and twelve hundredths hectares (53,12 ha) in area, and bounded as follows: starting from a point on the north shore of lac Arcand following an astronomical azimuth of 335º51′05″ over a distance of one hundred and thirty-one and fifty-six hundredths metres (131,56 m); thence, following an astronomical azimuth of 31º57′08″ over a distance of seven hundred and thirty-eight and fifty-seven hundredths metres (738,57 m); thence, following an astronomical azimuth of 110º12′34″ over a distance of six hundred and nine and fourteen hundredths metres (609,14 m) to the west bank of rivière des Aigles flowing into lac Arcand and thence, following the north bank of the said river and lac Arcand to the starting point. The said starting point is situated three hundred and twenty-six and twelve hundredths metres (326,12 m) from the junction of the north bank of rivière des Aigles with lac Arcand, the distance following an azimuth of 278º26′17″.

Block 2

A piece of land identified in the land survey as being Block 2 of the Township of Arcand, shown on the plan attached hereto, covering one hundred and thirty-six and twenty-four hundredths hectares (136,24 ha) in area, and bounded as follows: starting from a point situated on the east bank of rivière des Aigles in the extension of the northeast line of Block 1 and forty-eight and thirteen hundredths metres (48,13 m) from the eastern extremity of the said line; thence, following an astronomical azimuth of 100º12′34″ over a distance of three hundred and eighty-one and two hundredths metres (381,02 m); thence, following an azimuth of 167º13′34″ over a distance of eight hundred and eight and sixty hundredths metres (808,60 m); thence, following an azimuth of 141º15′39″ over a distance of four hundred and ninety-two and fifty-seven hundredths metres (492,57 m); thence, following an azimuth of 221º29′13″ over a distance of five hundred and fourteen and forty hundredths metres (514,40 m) to the northeast shore of lac Arcand and thence, following the northeast shore of lac Arcand then the south bank of rivière des Aigles to the starting point.
