21. On ceasing to hold office, the Chief Coroner or a Deputy Chief Coroner is appointed as a full-time coroner and continues to receive the salary he received as Chief Coroner or Deputy Chief Coroner. However, his salary is not increased until the salary of a full-time coroner has caught up with it.

21. A coroner who ceases to hold the office of Chief Coroner or Deputy Chief Coroner after holding that office for five years or more and who remains a permanent coroner continues to receive the salary he received as Chief Coroner or Deputy Chief Coroner. However, his salary is not increased until the salary of a permanent coroner is equal to his salary.
