262. During the day mentioned in section 261, and under the same penalties, but subject to the same exception in case of sickness, it is forbidden to cause to be brought or transported, or to bring or transport, within the limits of a ward where any polling-station is open, or from one place to another within the said limits, any quantity whatever of alcoholic beverages.
This prohibition shall not affect the sale, transport, delivery or purchase of alcoholic beverages, made in good faith and in the ordinary course of business by a merchant or trader provided that the cases, casks, bottles or envelopes containing the said beverages be not opened, broken or unclosed during the day above mentioned.
