S-6.2 - Act respecting pre-hospital emergency services

63. To act as an ambulance technician, a person must
(1)  have completed the initial college training recognized by the Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche, de la Science et de la Technologie and passed the relevant examination or have completed training recognized as equivalent by the national medical director under subparagraph 8 of the first paragraph of section 6, or hold a certificate or other form of official occupational certification issued in Canada that attests that the holder is qualified and authorized to act as an ambulance technician and that is recognized by the national medical director in accordance with that subparagraph; and
(2)  be registered in the national workforce registry maintained by the Minister pursuant to paragraph 10 of section 3 and have obtained an ambulance technician qualification certificate.

(1)  have completed the initial college training recognized by the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport and passed the relevant examination or have completed training recognized as equivalent by the national medical director under subparagraph 8 of the first paragraph of section 6, or hold a certificate or other form of official occupational certification issued in Canada that attests that the holder is qualified and authorized to act as an ambulance technician and that is recognized by the national medical director in accordance with that subparagraph; and
(2)  be registered in the national workforce registry maintained by the Minister pursuant to paragraph 10 of section 3 and have obtained an ambulance technician qualification certificate.
