S-4 - Act respecting the Service des achats du gouvernement

3. The service is under the responsibility of the Minister and is composed of members of the department or body designated under section 6 of the Act respecting government services to departments and public bodies (chapter S-6.1).
The Government shall designate from among those members the director general of purchasing to manage the service.

3. This service shall appertain to the Minister and shall be managed by an officer called General Purchasing Director.
Such officer shall be appointed and his salary fixed and paid in accordance with the provisions of the Public Service Act (chapter F-3.1.1).
He has the rights, powers and privileges conferred on a chief executive officer of an agency under the Public Service Act.
