School bodies include the school boards, the schools, vocational training centres and adult education centres governed by the Education Act (chapter I-13.3) or the Education Act for Cree, Inuit and Naskapi Native Persons (chapter I-14), the Conseil scolaire de l’île de Montréal, institutions whose instructional program is the subject of an international agreement within the meaning of the Act respecting the Ministère des Relations internationales (chapter M-25.1.1), the general and vocational colleges, and the Université du Québec and its constituent universities, research institutes and superior schools.
School bodies also include the institutions accredited for purposes of subsidies under the Act respecting private education (chapter E-9.1) and institutions of higher education of which more than one-half of the operating expenditures are paid out of appropriations shown in the budget estimates laid before the National Assembly.
