230. The Commissioner shall submit to the Tribunal, by way of a citation, every final decision of a Canadian court convicting a police officer of a criminal offence constituting a transgression of the Code of ethics, except if a sanction of dismissal under the first paragraph of section 119 is imposed on the police officer.
The Tribunal shall accept a duly certified copy of the judicial decision as proof of guilt.
This section also applies to any decision of a foreign court convicting a police officer of a criminal offence which would have entailed the application of the first paragraph had it been committed in Canada.
