123. (1)  Every person who illegally practises the profession of notary is liable, for each offence, to the penalties provided in section 188 of the Professional Code (chapter C-26).
(2)  (Subsection repealed).

(2)  Proceedings may be instituted under this section by the Attorney General, on resolution of the Bureau, or by the Order.
Any fine collected under a conviction following such a prosecution shall be paid into the consolidated revenue fund, if the Attorney General is the prosecutor, or to the Order, if it is the prosecutor.
