12.2. The advisory committee shall release the general policy that guides it in advising the Minister in respect of the list of arbitrators referred to in section 77 of the Labour Code (chapter C-27) and advising the Minister under this section. The policy may include criteria for the appraisal of the arbitrators’ qualifications and conduct. The Minister shall examine complaints about the remuneration and expenses claimed by arbitrators on the list, and about the conduct and qualifications of those arbitrators.
The Minister shall endeavour to resolve complaints to the satisfaction of the complainant and the arbitrator. If a complaint cannot be so resolved, the Minister may ask the advisory committee for its opinion before making a decision on the complaint.
