50. The returning officer may appoint any revising officer he considers necessary, whose chief duties shall be to notify notices of hearings and summonses and to gather, at the request of the board of revisors, any information relevant to the making of a decision.

50. Every question submitted to the board of revisors shall be decided by a majority vote.
In the event of a tie-vote, the chairman or, in his absence, the vice-chairman shall have a casting vote.
