206.10. The chief electoral officer may, upon the written application of a candidate, withdraw the candidate’s authorization.
The application must be accompanied with a closing financial report for the period running from the date of authorization or, as the case may be, from the end of the period covered by the preceding financial report to the date of the application. In addition, the application must be accompanied with the financial report for the preceding fiscal year where it has not been filed with the director general of the English-language school service centre.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the chief electoral officer shall not withdraw the authorization of a candidate who has not paid all the debts arising from his election expenses.
The chief electoral officer may also withdraw the authorization of a candidate who contravenes Division IV or V.
