146. The enterprise registrar may, whenever he is of the opinion that public interest so requires, order that an inquiry be held on any matter within his jurisdiction.
The enterprise registrar and any person he authorizes in writing shall have the powers and immunity of commissioners appointed under the Act respecting public inquiry commissions (chapter C-37), except the power to order imprisonment.
