10. The Authority or the representative designated by the Authority in writing may, for the purposes of an inspection,
(1)  enter, at any reasonable time, the establishment of a person who acts in Québec as an insurer, the establishment of a holding company directly controlling an insurance company or controlled by an insurance company, or the establishment of a professional syndicate authorized to exercise the powers provided for in subparagraph 1 of the second paragraph of section 9 of the Professional Syndicates Act (chapter S‐40) relating to the establishment and administration of special indemnity funds, special funds for assistance and other funds of the same nature;
(2)  examine and make copies of the books, registers, accounts, records and other documents relating to the activities of an insurer or those of a holding company directly controlling an insurance company or controlled by an insurance company;
(3)  require any information relating to the administration of this Act and the production of any document relating thereto.
Every person having the custody, possession or control of such books, registers, accounts, records and other documents must, if so required, give communication thereof to the Authority or its representative and facilitate his examination of the same.

(2)  examine and make copies of the books, registers, accounts, records and other documents relating to insurance;
(3)  require any information relating to the administration of this Act and the production of any document relating thereto.

10. The Inspector General and any person he designates in writing shall, at all times, have access to the documents relating to insurance in the possession of a person who acts in Québec as an insurer, insurance agent or claims adjuster, or in the possession of a professional syndicate contemplated in paragraph a of section 1, and may require from them any information relating to the application of this act; any person in possession of the above mentioned documents must give communication of them to the Inspector General or the person designated by him and facilitate his examination of them.
The person designated in accordance with the first paragraph shall, if so required, produce a certificate attesting his authority, and bearing the signature of the Inspector General.

10. The Superintendent and any person he designates in writing shall, at all times, have access to the documents relating to insurance in the possession of a person who acts in Québec as an insurer, insurance agent or claims adjuster, or in the possession of a professional syndicate contemplated in paragraph a of section 1, and may require from them any information relating to the application of this act; any person in possession of the above mentioned documents must give communication of them to the Superintendent, his assistant or the person designated by the Superintendent and facilitate his examination of them.
The person designated in accordance with the first paragraph shall, if so required, produce a certificate attesting his authority, and bearing the signature of the Superintendent.
