96. The Société may, at any time, require the owner of an automobile to furnish a statement attesting that he meets the requirements imposed under this Act with respect to liability insurance as well as a certificate of insurance.
Such a declaration must state the name of the insurer and, except in the case of a person holding a temporary certificate referred to in section 98, the policy number and its date of expiry.

The particulars prescribed in the second paragraph are not required in the case of a person who has obtained from the Société a certificate of financial responsibility in accordance with section 102.

96. No automobile may be registered unless a statement by the owner of the automobile is furnished to the Société attesting that the owner has met the obligations imposed by this act respecting liability insurance.
The statement must set forth the name of the insurer and, except in the case of a person holding a temporary certificate contemplated in section 98, the number of the policy and its date of expiry.
The particulars provided for in the second paragraph are not required in the case of a person who has obtained a certificate of financial responsibility from the Société in accordance with section 102.
The Société may in addition, at all times, require of any person that he furnish such a statement and a certificate of insurance or of financial responsibility.
