42. A provisional general education teaching licence valid for a single period of not more than 3 years expiring at the end of the second school year following the year in which it was issued may be issued to a person who(1) is in either of the following situations:(a) is enrolled in a teacher training program in general education listed in Schedule I and is completing the fourth year of the program; or
(b) has been awarded a partial diploma recognition pursuant to section 26;
(2) has a promise of employment from an employer referred to in section 29 certifying that, within the school year in progress, the person is to be given a general education teaching position directly related to the bachelor’s degree or training described in paragraph 1 for which a teaching licence is required and that the position cannot be filled by the holder of a teaching licence.
