34. Notwithstanding any Act inconsistent herewith, no person may be compelled to give evidence with respect to information obtained by him in the performance of his duties as Public Protector or Deputy Public Protector, or as public servant or employee of the Public Protector, nor to produce any document containing such information.
Notwithstanding section 9 of the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information (chapter A‐2.1), no person has a right of access to such a document.

34. 34. Notwithstanding any other general law or special act, neither the Public Protector nor his assistant, functionaries or employees may be compelled to give any evidence in connection with any information obtained in the performance of their duties, or to produce any document containing such information.
