2. The Minister must see to the conservation of wildlife.
For that purpose, conservation officers, functionaries or other employees are appointed and remunerated in accordance with the Civil Service Act (chapter F-3.1).
The conservation officers shall in particular see that the laws and regulations respecting wildlife are carried out and inform the public as to the provisions of these laws and regulations.

2. A Service de la conservation de la faune is established in the Ministère du tourisme, de la chasse et de la pêche; such Branch shall consist of the Director of Wild-life Conservation, the assistant directors and the conservation officers and such other functionaries and employees as are deemed necessary.
