24.1. Every person who ceases to be a Member after having been a Member for 20 years on 1 January 1983 and who is entitled to a pension under the Legislature Act (chapter L-1) is entitled to apply for the withdrawal of the total amount of his contributions paid from 1 January 1983 with interest compounded for each year during which he contributed, at the rate established pursuant to the Act respecting the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan (chapter R-10).
The withdrawal of contributions extinguishes the right to the years of service for the purposes of qualifying for a pension or computing the pension.
