244. Every credit union shall send by registered or certified mail to each person to whom a deposit referred to in section 243 is repayable or to whom or at whose request an instrument referred to in the said section has been issued, certified or accepted, to his last recorded address, a notice stating that the account is inactive and that the balance of the account and the interest thereon will be transferred to the Minister of Finance if not claimed.
The notice must be given at least six months before any transfer is made.
