115. Every person under 18 years of age who is arrested under a warrant for witness shall be entrusted to the director of youth protection until the person’s appearance. The director of youth protection shall entrust the person so arrested to the care of an institution operating a rehabilitation centre within the meaning of the Act respecting health services and social services (chapter S‐4.2) or a reception centre within the meaning of the Act respecting health services and social services for Cree Native persons (chapter S‐5) and shall without delay notify the parents, or any other person having parental authority, of the place where the person is being kept, of the time and place at which the person is to appear and of the nature of the proceedings.
