R-3 - Act respecting the consolidation of the statutes and regulations

2. When consolidating the statutes, the Minister, while respecting the intention of the legislator, may, in particular,
(1)  make such changes of wording as necessary to obtain a uniform mode of expression; and
(2)  correct clerical or typographical errors.
In addition, he shall use the alphanumerical nomenclature in the consolidation of the statutes.

2. The Commission is composed of not fewer than seven members, including a chairman and a vice-chairman, appointed by the Government. One of the members shall be an officer of the Ministère des Communications, representing the Québec Official Publisher.
Four members of the Commission, including the chairman or, if he is absent, the vice-chairman, are a quorum.
In case of a tie-vote, the chairman, or, if he is absent, the vice-chairman, has a casting vote.
If a member of the Commission is temporarily absent or unable to act, the Minister of Justice may appoint another member to replace him.

2. The Commission shall be composed of a law officer of the Ministère de la justice assisted by the Law Clerk of the Legislature, a representative of the Québec Official Publisher and three other members.
The members of the Commission, except the Law Clerk, shall be appointed by the Gouvernement.
