Full text
58. One year of service or part of a year of service is credited, for each calendar year, to an officer for service accomplished if his contributions have been paid and not reimbursed and for service otherwise credited to him under the provisions of the plan. The same applies to an officer who has at least 40 years of credited service, without his having to pay contributions.
Service is credited according to the number of days and parts of a day for which the officer contributed or was exempt and the days or parts of days otherwise credited to him out of the number of contributory days in a year, that is, 260 or, as the case may be, 200, according to the basis of remuneration. The days and parts of a day are rounded to the fourth decimal.

58. For pension purposes, one year of service is credited to every officer or employee who holds a full-time employment during a full calendar year and who receives his full salary during such year.
A fraction of a year of service is credited:
(a)  to an officer or employee who does not receive his full salary for a period of time; or
(b)  to a part-time or seasonal employee.
The fraction contemplated in subparagraph a of the second paragraph is equal to the ratio between the number of remunerated days of work of such employee and the number of remunerated days of work that he would have had during a full calendar year.
The fraction contemplated in subpararaph b of the second paragraph is equal to the ratio between the numerical equivalent of the remunerated full days of work of such employee and the number of remunerated full days of work during the calendar year of a full-time employee holding a similar employment.
The service contemplated in this section shall be credited only if the contributions have been deducted or paid.
In no case shall more than one year of service be credited during the same calendar year.
