13. Notwithstanding section 11, every lump sum paid as an increase or adjustment of the pensionable salary for a previous year is part of the pensionable salary for the year in which it is paid.
However, where the lump sum is paid in a year during which no service is credited, it shall be included in the pensionable salary of the last year during which service is credited to him prior to payment of the lump sum.
A lump sum paid to a pensioner is included in the pensionable salary only if it is paid as an increase or adjustment of the salary for a prior period of participation in the plan.

(1)  in the case of a teacher, of the pensionable salary for the year during which the lump sum is paid;
(2)  in the case of a pensioner, of the pensionable salary for the year during which he retired.
The lump sum does not include that part of the amount which is attributable to an increase of or adjustment to the salary paid while the pensioner is contemplated in section 61 or in the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan or the Civil Service Superannuation Plan.

13. For pension purposes, the pensionable salary of a teacher is the salary paid to him during a calendar year and the salary he would have been entitled to during a period of absence to which salary insurance applies.
Such pensionable salary does not include:
(a)  bonuses and fees;
(b)  remuneration for overtime work;
(c)  isolation premiums and indemnities for lodging and meals;
(d)  salary-insurance benefits, including benefits derived from elective salary-insurance plans;
(e)  every other remuneration excluded by a regulation made for such purpose by the Government; such regulation shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette officielle du Québec of on any later date indicated therein.
