55. A certificate is valid for the five-year term. The Minister shall renew the certificate for the same term provided its holder
(1)  has successfully completed
(a)  the examination prescribed or recognized by the Minister for the renewal of the certificate applied for;
(b)  the training prescribed or recognized by the Minister for the renewal of the certificate applied for; or
(c)  the examination or training required by the Minister under paragraph 4 of section 61;
(2)  has paid the fees fixed by government regulation;
(3)  has complied with this Act and the regulations during the term which is ending.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Minister may issue or renew a certificate for a shorter term if he considers it advisable.

(1)  has successfully completed the examination, if any, required pursuant to paragraph 4 of section 61;
(2)  has paid the fees fixed by regulation;
(3)  has complied with this Act and the regulations during the term which is ending.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Minister may issue or renew a certificate for a shorter term if he considers it advisable.
