58. The collector sends forthwith to the defendant notice of the judgment and, as the case may be, a demand to pay the fine within the time indicated.

58. (1)  When any information or complaint is dismissed with costs, the justice of the peace may issue a warrant of distress on the goods and chattels of the prosecutor or complainant, as in form 23, for the amount of such costs; and, in default of distress, a warrant of commitment as in form 24 may issue.
(2)  The term of imprisonment in such case shall not be more than one month.
