69. The chief of a municipal police force shall take the oaths prescribed in section 4 before the mayor, and the other municipal policemen who are members of the force before the chief of police.
The chief of police is authorized, in the performance of his duties, and throughout the territory of the municipality, to administer the same oath as a commissioner for oaths appointed under the Courts of Justice Act (chapter T-16).
