192. The Inspector General may, where he considers that public interest so requires, order than an inquiry be held on any matter within his jurisdiction.
The Inspector General and every person authorized by him in writing shall have the powers and immunity granted to commissioners appointed under the Act respecting public inquiry commissions (chapter C-37), except the power to order imprisonment.
