146. The school trustees who are members of the first board shall be replaced as follows: one of their number determined by a drawing of lots at the end of the first year, and from between those who have not been replaced, one determined in the same manner at the end of the second year, and the remaining trustee at the end of the third year.
The term of office of the school commissioners who are members of the first school board after the erection of a school municipality shall be established by a drawing of lots in accordance with the following table:
When the number of commissioners is increased through the application of section 48, the term of office of the commissioners elected or appointed following such increase shall be established by a drawing of lots which shall determine at the end of which of the three following years each is to be replaced, in addition to those replaced in accordance with the preceding paragraph and table.
The chairman and the vice-chairman, in the same manner as the other commissioners or trustees, shall go out of office if determined by lot.
The drawing of lots must be effected at a sitting before the first of March.
